The TRC is the research laboratory for Inferno Theatre Company members to train and explore the theatre art form both together and individually. Participation in the Laboratory is by invitation only. We are planning to provide open enrollment training based on the rules of engagement adopted in the Laboratory in the near future.

The purpose of the Theatre Research Center is to provide our creative endeavor with a clear point of departure and a rigorous commitment to the theatre art form and disciplines. It is an artist-driven, anthropological and innovative research laboratory.

In the active pursuit of this goal, we are training together to define the word exchange. This training method requires all participants to share their knowledge of theatre forms and techniques.

Everyone participating in the TRC will lead a training section, a debate, a workshop, etc. The long-term benefits of this process will be consistent physical training and ongoing training in critical thinking and alternative theories.

Participants in the Center are committed to exploring different theatre forms and traditions rooted in various aesthetic paths of expression from different areas of the theatre world.

Our main focus in Anthropological Theatre is the essential need to make theater of “Presence” so that all elements acquire a structural and dynamic presence: the actors, the costumes, the props, the sets, whether they be evocative or symbolic artifacts of our imagination.

We fit into the contemporary theatre tradition of “Energy and Presence” that we recognize in performance-driven events in which invention and imagination create the truth of the theatrical event.

Training and staying fit for the performance is essential for every performer. This process is also a way of finding a true line between our theories and the theatre we create. Our strength, speed, rhythm and composition are integral parts of our development and training process, and as such, they are essential in creating the final result.
